In the previous articles of this series, we explored the fascinating journey of accounting beginning with barter systems and evolving into a sophisticated profession integral to every business’s success. We also discussed the All India Accounting Association (IAA), a venerable institution shaping accounting education and standards in India, with a commitment to preparing professionals ready to meet both national and global demands.
Now, in this final article, we shine a spotlight on Nergy, India’s first innovator in Simulated and Interactive Learning (SL & IL) technology, and a proud contributor to this year’s 46th All India Accounting Conference.
As an industry-first solution in experiential learning, Nergy has been transforming commerce education by bridging traditional teaching with immersive, hands-on experiences.
Established in 2020, Nergy has grown rapidly, with headquarters in Bengaluru and operations in Kochi. Over a few short years, we’ve reimagined the way commerce students learn by bringing professional environments directly to the classroom.
At Nergy, we are proud to partner with an array of esteemed institutions and organisations across India. We work alongside professional accounting bodies, government agencies, and leading public and private universities, as well as autonomous colleges and training institutes. Through these partnerships, we’ve created a robust ecosystem that nurtures students and professionals by providing real-world experiences in the field of commerce.
Our partnerships include collaborations with Cambridge University Press and SAP, two of the most respected names in academia and technology. We also have alliances with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) and government initiatives like SWAYAM Plus under the Ministry of Education.
Our partnerships extend across sectors, such as the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Sector Skill Council and Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC), reflecting our commitment to fostering skill development and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
Our flagship platform, Nergy Vidya, represents a new era in commerce education. Nergy Vidya provides immersive, experiential learning through simulations that replicate real-world scenarios, allowing students to practice accounting, finance, and business management with the same tools and challenges they’ll encounter in the professional world. This hands-on approach is invaluable: students learn to navigate complex financial situations, make data-driven decisions, and manage transactions just as they would in the workplace.
Nergy Vidya is designed to develop industry-ready students. By immersing learners in simulated environments, we build their competencies in key commerce functions, enabling them to handle industry challenges from day one. This experiential approach is the foundation of our SL & IL technology, and it sets Nergy apart in a field that is traditionally slow to adopt change.
During the All India Accounting Conference at St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata, Nergy will proudly set up an Experience Centre – a space where attendees can witness firsthand how our platform, Nergy Vidya, revolutionises learning. At the Experience Centre, educators and professionals will explore our platform’s interactive features and experience our SL & IL technology in action, demonstrating how it effectively bridges academic knowledge with practical application.
This year, Nergy served as a Silver Sponsor of the All India Commerce Conference. Our commitment to the field extends beyond product offerings; we are dedicated contributors to commerce education, supporting forums that shape the industry’s future.
At the conference, we hosted a roundtable discussion with esteemed commerce professors from across India. This exchange of insights and best practices helped to understand the evolving needs of the profession, and has already been a resounding success, as professors recognise the value Nergy Vidya adds to commerce curriculums across the country.
In addition to the roundtable, we had set up a dedicated Nergy Pavilion at the conference, which offers an engaging introduction to Nergy Vidya for the inquisitive minds of academia. Attendees had the chance to explore how the simulated environments in Nergy Vidya build job-ready skills that align with industry standards. The same we had presented in DIDAC 2024 as well. We look forward for a similar or better participation at All India Accounting Conference.
Accounting remains a cornerstone in any organisation, large or small. Accountants bring structure and insight to financial management, guiding companies toward sustainable growth. At Nergy, we recognise the importance of equipping future accountants with skills that go beyond textbooks. Through our Nergy Vidya platform, students encounter real-world simulations that prepare them to handle industry demands with confidence and skill. From balance sheet management to complex audits, Nergy Vidya covers it all.
Our commitment to academia goes beyond building products; we are shaping the landscape of commerce education. Through Nergy Vidya, we are crafting a generation of commerce students who are ready to excel in diverse roles across finance, accounting, and management.
Our dedication to commerce education is reflected in our associations with a wide network of educational institutions and training bodies. By partnering with organisations like the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, SWAYAM Plus, and the BFSI Sector Skill Council, we contribute to a holistic learning experience for students.
Our collaborations extend to universities across India, including Delhi University’s School of Open Learning, University of Kerala, and Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, among others. These partnerships allow us to implement our experiential learning tools across the country, benefiting thousands of students.
As we continue to build these relationships, we are honored to work with institutions that share our vision for commerce education. Together, we are developing a talent pipeline that aligns with industry requirements, ensuring that students graduate with skills that are current, practical, and valued by employers.
The All India Accounting Conference is set to take place on November 23rd and 24th, 2024, at Science City Auditorium, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata.
